The short version: Mindrive does not collect personal data. No names, no emails, no location, no usage tracking. Ads are served by Google AdMob (opt out by upgrading to Creator). Everything else stays on your device.

Information We Collect
Mindrive is built with privacy in mind. We do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, location data, or any personally identifiable information. Specifically:
- Local preferences: Your settings (display mode, tutorial state, custom presets, saved journeys) are stored locally on your device using Android SharedPreferences. This data never leaves your device.
- Crash reports (opt-in): If you opt in, anonymous crash data (device model, OS version, stack traces) is sent to Firebase Crashlytics to help us fix bugs. No personal information is included.
- Advertising: Mindrive displays ads via Google AdMob. Google's ad SDK may use device identifiers (Android Advertising ID) and ad interaction data to serve and measure ads. You can manage ad personalization in your device's Google settings. Upgrading to Mindrive Creator removes all ads.
- In-app purchases: The Mindrive Creator upgrade ($5.99, one-time) is processed entirely by Google Play Billing. We do not receive, store, or have access to your payment information.
- No account required: Mindrive does not require account creation, registration, or sign-in of any kind.
- No usage analytics: We do not use analytics SDKs or tracking pixels. We do not monitor or record how you use the app.
Permissions
Mindrive requests the following Android permissions solely to support core functionality:
- Audio playback: To generate and play binaural beat frequencies through your headphones or speakers.
- Foreground service: To continue audio playback when the app is running in the background or the screen is off.
- Bluetooth: To detect connected Bluetooth audio devices for stereo output guidance.
- Notifications: To display a media playback notification with playback controls.
- Internet: For Google AdMob (ads), Firebase Crashlytics (crash reports, if opted in), and Google Play Billing (in-app purchases).
Data Storage
All user-generated data (preferences, custom presets, saved journeys) is stored locally on your device. We do not operate servers that store your personal data. Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data.

Children's Privacy
Mindrive is not directed at children under 13. The app contains audio content and health-related guidance that requires mature understanding. We do not knowingly collect any information from children under 13.
Your Rights
Because Mindrive does not collect personal data, there is nothing for us to delete, export, or correct. For data managed by Google (AdMob, Play Billing), please refer to Google's privacy controls at myaccount.google.com.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the app evolves. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
